It's all about the Vikings

All about the Vikings information

There are many sewing techniques like stitches going up and under to ones that go back to the last.To make Viking money containers, simple stitches are fine. However, you must keep your stitches small and even.

Mostly, poor Vikings would wear robes, sandals and rope belts. Usually, wealthy Vikings would wear capes, boots, sword compartments and fur coats. Wealthy Vikings were considered to be "better" than poor Vikings.

There are many different types of sewing but we have lowered the techniques to 4. They include delicate stitch, back stitch, running stitch and blanket stitch. To do these you must be patient, concentrated and determined.

Harry's opinion
''I liked  making mistakes and improving my purse I done running stitch and blanket stitch my purse was grey as well. I had a belt buckle to hold my purse.''

Isabella's Opinion
I think that the sewing was very fun. My favourite part was overall making the purse.

Making an information text box

Today, we learnt how to use the snipping tool and google maps to create a 'where in the world' text box to give some more information on our magical creature.

We had to find the snipping tool and take a picture of the country we chose. Next, we had to make our own word document and pasted the image onto it.

We had to find an image on the internet of tattered paper, and then we had to put the image to the back. The text box was last. It was tricky at first, but we got though it. The trickiest part, for me was trying to send the tattered paper to the back of the map.

We have learnt as well that sometimes you cannot copy a picture because it has been blocked. You could only have access to it by paying for the rights.

Our book is coming along quite well, stay tuned for the final product.
