Computing Research - Building our web skills!

Venus worked with research and web based skills this week, building our understanding of how search engines work and how we can link this to our Geography & Art project.

We discussed the influence of how the WWW connects information around the world - with a strong focus on specific, safe search engine techniques. Each pair was given the task of researching general physical geographical facts about a certain country in the northern hemisphere. We had a lot of fun exploring Spain, Brazil, Germany, France and Canada! Building on our critical thinking skills, we brainstormed questions before we started, with phrases and keywords to use in our internet search.
