Skills needed urgently!

This week,  we have used our skills on Word document to write a job advert.

In order to do so, we have practiced using resources on the internet as well as using the school network to save and share our work.

During the start of the lesson, we looked at various job adverts and how they were written or structured. You have to be careful when you are using Google, since there might be ads at the top of the page. Miss Goulet, told us that in order to make the difference between a link and an ad, you simply have to read if it mentions advertising on it. Often as well, the reliable links will be in green and the ads in yellow.

The aim of the lesson was to edit our work in order to make it interesting for a particular audience therefore, we have learned to insert a hyperlink on our job advert so people could go and read more about the job. It was tricky at first, but then once we practised it, it became easier. We also discovered you could hyperlink to another document. I thought it was only for a website.

In order to demonstrate that we learned to add an hyperlink, here is the video of Beowulf the animated version.

Today, we had loads to type, so we tried to type using both hands and trying to keep our eyes on the text to copy rather than on the keyboard. I cannot say I have fully succeeded, but I have tried my hardest.

"It feels good but weird, it is quicker with two hands, but I am so used to type with one hand that I wonder often if I am doing it right" mentioned Daniel in class Venus.
